The Bearfoot Bistro

All I can say is WOW and DELICIOUS! This was one of the best meals I had in a long time. The Bearfoot Bistro is a fine dining restaurant located in Whistler Village that offers 3 or 5 course tasting menus and has an amazing wine cellar. The room is classy — how could it not be with a piano player in the room!
I ate the black cod with pine mushrooms, edamame and miso, then for my main the squab with fois gras, chestnut and cinnamon. To finish I had a trio of chocolate desserts. This was one of those meals where I wanted to lick the plate clean. Luckily there was enough bread to scoop up the yummy sauce so I didn’t have to embarass myself! At the end of the meal we had a tour of the wine cellar which was quite impressive.

The liver of a duck that has been force-fed to the point of death does not sound classy to me at all.

Great photo Lisa. What camera are you using? Looks like the lighting in there is decent, or you took your plate into the bathroom to shoot it! So often the light is way too dim to get a decent shot of the food and the other half the time I’m so focused on the food that I’m wiping up the sauce with a scrap of bread before I remember I haven’t got a photo!
