Fine Fish, in a Can?

If you are looking for a tasty snack to pack in your lunch tomorrow, pick up some 80g cans of Callipo tuna. The fish is canned in olive oil, which makes for a much tastier snack than water-tinned tuna. I eat it straight out of the can with a little lemon juice, salt, and pepper, but it’s also good tossed into salads or fresh pasta. There are several brands of Italian tuna in olive oil out there, but Callipo is definitely the best. This tasty tinned treat might be a bit hard to find at grocery stores – so your best bet is to head to the Italian district. In Vancouver, you can get Callipo at Santa Barbara Market (1322 Commercial Drive), or at Bosa Importers (562 Victoria Dr Vancouver BC).
