Tableland: Documentary film exploring slow food.

There’s a new Vancouver-made documentary about slow food called Tableland that explores sustainable food production. From the orchards of Interior BC, Napa Highlands, rural Quebec and other places where “slow food” is celebrated, Tableland consists of interviews with chefs, farmers, writers, teachers, activists and other proponents of the production of tasty, local and seasonal food from field to plate. The movie contains themed sections on taste, sustainability, the environment and is filled with fun stories, entertaining facts and tasty treats.
Tableland will premiere in Vancouver at the Vancity Theatre, 1181 Seymour St. on Monday December 3rd at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25, which includes a local wine and food tasting (Joie, Oyama) and Chow after party.
