The Georgia Straight’s 10th Annual Golden Plates Issue just hit the street yesterday. There’s always a gem or two in there, especially from the critics. I find the Reader’s Choice bits usually suck since the results are most often crowded with mainstream popularity winners, not culinary excellence – McDonald’s second best for fries? Come on! I’m generalizing, but read it and you’ll see what I mean. Grab a copy.

Wake up, Vancouver..They are so little places that truly are good, but those published by the Straight, The courier etc, they are places that pay advertising or are potential customers.
In the next couple of months I will publish a non paid, non compromised website with my personal reviews about places and recomandations.
