Food Culture Series: Provenance

Where does your food come? More importantly, why should you care?
With labels being greenwashed more than ever, it’s hard to wade through the sea of information and figure out what’s true and what’s hype. Our very own Anthony Nicalo will be co-facilitating a six-part series with Natalie Jensen.
The series focuses on provenance, or where food comes from. You’ll be introduced to the concept of provenance, followed by individual sessions on the provenance of seafood, meat, produce and wine. The series culminates with a picnic lunch and fundraiser for the UBC Farm, featuring Michael Pollan.
Each session is $65 and includes a featured book. Or, sign up for all six sessions for $300 and Anthony will make you a picnic lunch for the Michael Pollan session. There’s a full description of the series here. To sign up, call Barbara-Jo’s Books to Cooks at 604-688-6755.
