A well-balanced candy meal?

As part of an ‘under $10 gift exchange’ gone wrong we found ourselves on the receiving end of Disney’s High School Musical-branded “Artificially Flavoured Sack Lunch Sweet & Sour Gummies“. Uh, excuse me? WTF? Despite the fact that sugar is the predominant ingredient, your kids can enjoy a representation of a (somewhat) well balanced meal that includes a ham sandwich, slice of pizza, sour green apple, bottled water and cheese all courtesy of Walt’s legacy and a company called Flix Candy.
Yes, so now you can learn about what a balanced meal is all about while skipping it. Sick. Having recently read Michael Pollan’s Omnivore’s Dilemma, this has me worried and even more committed to my homemade baby food for Lila.
