Gordon Ramsay in TO

I just got a note that Gordon Ramsay, star of Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, will be in Toronto this month signing copies of his latest cookbook.
There is a wristband policy in effect and you can’t get Gordon to sign your favourite knife either… only his new book – Gordon Ramsay’s Fast Food. And only if you have proof you bought it at Indigo, Chapters.
I wonder if there are restrictions on what you can get him to write. I think I’d like “Lex, here’s your f*ing signature, you stupid donkey. Now get out of my line!”
No wristband required to stand around and gawk, so I’ll bet there will be tones of blurry photos on Flickr.
Indigo, Burlington, Ontario, Sunday, April 27th – 3:00 pm

Hey Ben, I’ve heard the same thing, but unfortunately I haven’t gotten my hands on a copy yet. I’m hoping to pick up a copy soon and I’ll let you know.

I met him at a book signing in London about a year and a half ago, and people were getting him to write, “You donkey!” so I think if you kept the dedication short, he’d write it!

Hey! I was at the event and yes Indigos did try to restrict the sigs to your name. I wanted “Well, F’ck me, Enjoy” The staff there said he wouldn’t sign something like that and asked me what my name (names only no swear words) was – I said that’s what my mom named me “f’ck me”. Staff wasn’t amused and insisted he would only sign your name and his. I didn’t want my name – I wanted his in the cookbook. They said he wasn’t signing these things. I trotted up and handed him my little slip of paper with what I wanted in the cookbook, he looked at the phrase and gave a little twitch of a smile and YUP he signed it. I laughed and said I didn’t think he would and he laughed and said “For you darling, anything” and he laughed again. Good sense of humour, great book, better with the autograph.

catpaw, that’s brilliant! Thanks for letting us know that Gordon is just as much fun in person as he seems.
I got a note from my friends at the Cookbook Store that he dropped by there after hours to sign some books too. But nothing nicely personalized like that.

Most companies don’t make 17 wide cabinets. You would have to find a custom cabinet maker. Or you could get a 15 cabinet and put a 2 filler on the side of it.
