Oh so tasty ribs

I discovered this recipe a while back in a cookbook passed down by my Grandma called “What’s cooking at Scotiabank!”, despite the name, every time I pull a rack out of the freezer saliva oozes in anticipation of this recipe. The time has come to pass on this delightful torch so you too can become addicted.
Garlic Ribs
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup tea
1/2 cup soya sauce
1 Tbsp molasses
4 Garlic Cloves
Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Pour generously over ribs. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Enjoy Immensely.
Note: This recipe usually makes more than enough to get the job done, in full it is ideal for 1 1/2 lbs of short ribs.
Anyone have a variation involving honey? There are many that just don’t cut it, help curb my desire.
