The Haft Seen

Today is Norouz which is the Persian New Year. I only know this because daily dose posted a beautiful image of the Haft Seen this morning. This involves a beautiful arrangement of seven items on your dining room table that start with the letter ‘S’ – possibly including apple (seeb), vinegar (serkeh), garlic (seer), and sumac berries (somaq).
I’ve been really into Persian inspired food as of late. Lemons, dates, lamb, mint… it is so refreshing and exotic on the palate. Get in the Norouz spirit and make yourself a Persian meal tonight.
